We offer COVID-19 testing at the following locations:
Covid-19 is here to stay, and Soft Cell Laboratories has been here for you from the very beginning. Testing helps keep you, your family and friends, and community safe and Molecular or PCR Testing is the most accurate test for this virus.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I FEEL SICK OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED?
Soft Cell Laboratories has drive-thru locations where we will collect Saliva samples or Nasopharyngeal swabs from you. Pre-register at www.softcelltesting.com to make the process even more convenient. If you don’t have computer access, no problem; our technician will gather any information needed for your test. No need to go to the doctor!
WHAT ABOUT TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS?
We can test and provide your results to meet your travel certification requirements.
The charge is $100 per test. Please bring cash or a credit card with you at the time of testing.
Travel testing is only provided at the St. George Collection Site (Atwood Innovation Plaza).
WILL IT COST ANYTHING?
If you are experiencing SYMPTOMS or have been EXPOSED, we can bill your insurance for you or we will take orders from your doctor’s office and your doctor can bill your insurance.
If you are being tested for a TRAVEL or WORK requirement, or for other recreational activities, the charge is $100 PER TEST. Please bring cash or a credit card with you at the time of testing. You can still pre-register, but payment will be received at the time of collection.
You must come to the St. George Collection Site (Atwood Innovation Plaza) to be tested.
The Cedar City and Kanab Collection Sites are Utah Department of Health (UDOH) sites and ONLY test those who are symptomatic or exposed. If you are travelling, you must come to St. George.
WHEN WILL I GET MY TEST RESULTS?
PCR testing is not only accurate; it is fast. Your results should be ready by the end of the following business day. This means if you are tested on a Friday or Saturday, you will not receive your results until Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday).
( Just a hint: If you get your test done in the morning, you could potentially – not guaranteed, but potentially – have your results the same day.)
IS THIS A RAPID ANTIGEN TEST?
No, rapid antigen testing is not available at our facility – only CLIA-approved PCR clinical testing. Please go to www.coronavirus.utah.gov/utah-covid-19-testing-locations for rapid antigen testing availability in your area. (We will hand out at home test kits while supplies last.)
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY TEST RESULTS?
Your results will be available using the Patient Portal. You will receive a “Do Not Reply” email from LifePoint Technologies with a link to your “Activation Code”. Be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK Folders if you do not receive this email.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I TEST "POSITIVE"?
